This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives while developing your skills in behavioral health and special education.Details - Mon - Thu 3:30p - 5:30p, for a 7 year autistic girl.DutiesImplement behavior intervention plans tailored to each child's needs, utilizing techniques rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA)Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, toileting, and dressing to promote independenceCollect and record data on behaviors, progress, and skill acquisition accurately to inform ongoing treatment strategiesSupport educational activities by teaching communication, social skills, and functional life skills in a variety of settingsCollaborate with supervisors, teachers, and families to ensure consistency and effectiveness of care plansMaintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding sensitive medical records and personal informationParticipate in training sessions on medical terminology, documentation procedures, and behavior management strategiesRequirementsPrior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be providedKnowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirableStrong understanding of assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategiesExcellent communication skills to effectively teach and support children's growthAbility to collect detailed data accurately and maintain thorough medical documentationCompassionate attitude with patience and enthusiasm for working with individuals with autism and other special needsWillingness to adhere to all safety protocols, including HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standardsThis role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about making a positive impact through patient care, teaching, and behavioral health support.
