Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Macomb, Illinois.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Occupational TherapistDiscipline: TherapyStart Date: 10/05/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 5x8hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Oct 5, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience for an acute care rehab services position requiring Cerner EMR experience and IL licensure.DetailsAcute care hospital setting covering inpatient, swing-bed, assisted living, and outpatient servicesCaseload breakdown is approximately 40% acute, 40% outpatient, 10% swing-bed, and 10% assisted living (all variable based on census)Diverse patient population including general medical, CVA, hip fractures, post-op THR/TKR, adhesive capsulitis, tendon injuries, UE fractures, carpal/cubital tunnel, developmental delay, autism, sensory issues, and various syndromesPediatric cases are treated in the outpatient settingDaily patient volume is highly variable based on census and scheduled hoursDay shift position with flexible scheduling of 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour shifts, or a combination of both13-week contractCharting performed in Cerner EMRNo current weekend or holiday requirementsRequirementsCurrent, active OT license; IL licensure required if applicableMinimum 1 year of OT experienceGeneralist evaluation and treatment skills required to cover a broad range of patient diagnoses and care settingsCurrent BLS certification requiredAdditional InformationProvide evaluation and treatment services across inpatient, swing-bed, assisted living, and outpatient settingsSupported by 2 COTAs on the rehab teamPatient scheduling is coordinated by a department secretary based on clinical need identified by the therapistDepartment-specific orientation providedRequired dress code is black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pantsAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-709017.
