Security Guard Level II (Armed)
PacArctic LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Security Guard Level II (Armed) to support PAC and our government at Waco, TX. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.This position is covered under the Service Contract Act. We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, 401K with company matching, paid holidays, paid Vacation, paid sick leave and more.Security Guard Level II is a fully qualified and licensed Armed Security Guard whose principal duty is security, responsible for protecting the Exchange's physical and human resources at Waco Distribution Center located at 1801 Exchange Parkway, Waco, TX 76712.Essential QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Age: Must be at least 21 years of ageEducation: High school graduate or possess a General Education Development (GED) equivalentExperience: Minimum of one (1) year of security experience (civilian or military law enforcement/security experience preferred)Language: Speak, read, write, and understand EnglishBackground: Must be able to pass a National Agency Checklist with inquiries (NACI)Drug Status: Must be drug free and remain drug free for the duration of the contract, subject to initial and random drug screeningLegal Compliance: Cannot be prohibited by state, federal and/or local laws, and/or any rules or regulations from possessing a firearmLicensing: Must possess state weapons permits and state armed guard certification required for armed security guard positions in the respective state of employmentKnowledge and Skills:Knowledge of procedures on use of wire and radio communicationsReport writing capabilitiesSuccessfully completed required training and received appropriate firearms endorsement or license Physical Demands:Contract employees must be physically able to perform the following functions:Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stoopingOccasional running or sprintingSubduing and detaining violent or potentially violent individualsLift up to 50 poundsAdminister self-aide and buddy care as defined by AFI 36-2644 and AFH 36-2218 Volumes 1 and 2Capable of performing all duties without physical limitations that would preclude full performancePhysical stamina in all forms (endurance, temperature/climate adaptation, etc.) Mental Demands:Must be mentally alert at all timesCapable of taking prompt, efficient action to mitigate emergency situations such as fire, attempted theft, espionage, sabotage, and other acts detrimental to safeguarding Government personnel and propertyDaily contact with military and civilian personnel of various ranks/positions requiring tact and good judgment Primary Responsibilities:Wears, carries, and possesses a firearm in the performance of duties under this ContractProvides armed security services at Force Protection Condition levels CHARLIE and DELTAMust achieve onsite compliance within 04 hours of notification when Level II services are required Training Requirements:Meet training requirements for armed security guards (Level II) in the state of employmentState required training must be performed by a state certified trainerProvide training records/certifications to Government contracting officer's representative (COR)Receive biannual (every six months) training Reporting:All Guard Level II personnel training summations must be provided biannually to supervisory personnel and the on-site/offsite account manager.Our Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
