Eligible for health benefits as well as access to employee discount planAccess to an employee discount programReimbursable travel time and mileageField Interviewers are responsible for:Traveling frequently to selected locations to recruit study participantsMaking in-person contact with selected respondents to discuss the study, answer questions, and obtain participationCollecting confidential information and administering standardized questionnairesIndependently managing administrative duties, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainingsTransmitting data as scheduledAssuming full and legal responsibility for use and care of project-issued equipmentSafeguarding any participant incentives, issued equipment, or project materials against damage, loss, or theftAssuming responsibility for and carefully tracking all participant incentivesSubmitting timely and accurate Time & Expense reportsAttend virtually scheduled meetings with other members of the project teamThis position involves standing, walking and climbing stairs, and transporting equipment and materials such as laptop computers and notebooks weighing 15 pounds or moreMaintaining adequate and timely communication with all project staffAttending debrief meetings to provide feedback to help inform methodological improvementsRTI International is seeking full-time field interviewers on the National Longitudinal Study of Youth 2027.The NLSY27 is an ongoing survey designed to gather longitudinal data on how the experiences of young individuals in home, school, and work environments influence their development. For many years, the National Longitudinal Surveys of Youth have been recognized as a premier resource for examining the progression of youth from education into employment, and subsequently adulthood.Beginning in 2027, the Bureau of Labor Statistics will recruit a new, nationally representative sample of youth aged 11 to 16 to participate in the NLSY. Those selected for the NLSY27 cohort will serve as representatives of contemporary youth, contributing valuable insights that will inform future research and policy.RTI is preparing to conduct a pretest between April 2026 and July 2026, aimed at evaluating data collection tools and methodologies across all modes intended for use in Round 1 of data gathering with both NLSY27 youth and their parents or caregivers. This pretest will also assess systems and hardware supporting case management, survey procedures and protocols, outreach and recruitment strategies, and respondent materials.
