As a Specialty Team Member, you will play a vital role in providing customers with an outstanding experience in our Specialty department. You will be responsible for receiving and preparing product, maintaining an appealing store environment, and delighting our customers through exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: Surprise and delight customers with consistently delicious food. Engage in positive, proactive selling to maximize customer satisfaction. Ensure a clean and fresh display by maintaining stocked cases and shelves. Monitor product quality to meet Whole Foods Market standards. Minimize waste by monitoring spoilage and supply levels. Help execute our sampling program, keeping areas clean and inviting. Maintain back stock organization and accessibility. Provide timely and effective customer service, answering inquiries promptly. Maximize sales through correct procedures for prepping, storing, and merchandising products. Follow all health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards. Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accurate signs and pricing. Report any safety hazards or violations immediately. Assist with additional tasks assigned by leadership as needed. Job Skills: Ability to learn about the products carried and provide accurate information. Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality. Excellent communication skills and team collaboration. Capability to follow directions and manage time effectively. Strong work ethic and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds. Stand or walk for 6-8 hours during shifts. Perform various motions including bending, squatting, and reaching. Work in environments exposed to cleaning chemicals and temperature variations. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Completion of TIPS course required for alcohol service, age 18 and older.
