West Hills Vineyards Now Hiring: Sous Chef/Cook Join our team at West Hills Vineyards, where great wine, beautiful surroundings, and exceptional food come together. Our inviting tasting room—located just outside of West Salem on Highway 22—offers our handcrafted vintages and a light food menu, all served in a charming historic building with expanded outdoor seating. As we continue to grow and host more events, we’re seeking a Sous Chef / Cook to support our culinary operations. This role works closely with our Executive Chef to prepare and execute food for both daily tasting room service and special events. Schedule 30+ hours per week Primary days: Thursday–Sunday Shifts between 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM Occasional Wednesdays may be required Key Responsibilities Complete prep work and assist with food preparation and plating Support the Executive Chef with menu development and execution Track food usage and assist with inventory and supply management Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen (including dishwashing as needed) Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, event-focused environment Qualifications Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen Ability to multitask and work confidently with both cold and hot food preparation Proven ability to execute orders efficiently and consistently Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail Must be at least 21 years old Valid Oregon Food Handler Card and OLCC Permit required If you're passionate about food, wine, and creating unforgettable experiences, we’d love to hear from you!
