Senior System Administrator
About:We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator / Engineer to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments. This position blends traditional systems administration with modern automation, virtualization, and cloud engineering practices to ensure stability, security, and operational excellence.Responsibilities:Administer, support, and optimize enterprise Windows server environments in physical and virtual infrastructures.Design and maintain virtualization platforms using technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.Support and implement infrastructure solutions across AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.Monitor, troubleshoot, patch, and improve server performance, availability, and system reliability.Develop and maintain PowerShell, Python, or similar automation scripts to streamline administration and infrastructure management.Support infrastructure monitoring, observability, and incident response processes using modern monitoring platforms.Implement automation and operational improvements for system administration and routine maintenance activities.Assist with security hardening, access controls, compliance initiatives, and infrastructure best practices.Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.Partner cross-functionally with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.Participate in process improvement initiatives related to automation, cloud operations, and infrastructure modernization.Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical documentation and operational standards.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business and infrastructure goals.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in Systems Administration / Infrastructure Engineering.Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments in enterprise production settings.Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V administration.Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.Proficiency with scripting/automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.Familiarity with monitoring, incident management, change management, and IT operational best practices.Knowledge of networking concepts, security principles, and disaster recovery processes.Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with DevOps tools, Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, or container platforms.Exposure to AI-enabled productivity or observability tools is a plus.ITIL, cloud, or infrastructure certifications preferred.Windows Server | VMware | Hyper-V | AWS | Azure | PowerShell | Python | Monitoring Tools | Automation | DevOps | Infrastructure Engineering
