CNC SKETCHUP/AUTOCAD PROGRAMMER
ABOUT THE ROLEThe CNC Machine Programmer uses SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, and CIM-Tech to develop, prepare, and convert files for CNC cutting operations. This role plays a key part in creating accurate mold kit layouts and assembly instructions that support daily manufacturing operations within the plant. The CAD Technician I also assists with project logistics and production tickets as needed to help ensure project deadlines are met. Health and family care leave is available to both union and non-union employees.Union employee benefits are provided through separate collective bargaining agreements WHAT YOU'LL DOUtilize SketchUp daily to create precise 3D models of mold kit parts supporting manufacturing and assemblyUse Revit, AutoCAD, and CIM-Tech to develop CNC cutting files for production materials including plywood, plastic, and foamSelect and program appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters for accurate and efficient CNC operationsTroubleshoot CNC programming and file issues during the manufacturing process to ensure smooth production flowCommunicate with CNC operators to verify, refine, and improve cutting files for accuracy and efficiencyCoordinate with internal departments to resolve issues and prevent project delaysCreate pour sheets and other production documentation to support accurate fabrication of required componentsCollaborate with the BIM team to understand upstream modeling processes and ensure alignment with production needsPerform quantity takeoffs and calculate material requirements for assigned projectsComplete ERP data entry (Concrete Vision) and perform additional duties and special projects as assigned WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy CAD/CNC professional with the ability to translate drawings and models into accurate, production-ready outputs. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with solid technical aptitude, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This individual is collaborative, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning, quality work, and meeting project deadlines. IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVEHigh School Diploma or GED required; 2-4 year drafting degree preferredCompletion of 2 weeks on-site Wells Concrete trainingProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, CIM-Tech, Microsoft Office, and related softwareStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction documentsSolid math skills with basic understanding of general construction practicesStrong organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSOccasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.
