ENROLLMENT COORDINATOR, SELF-DIRECTED SERVICES
The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
Even though we are the largest self-directed services provider in Maryland with over 2600 Participant employers enrolled statewide, our Self-Directed Services team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with IDD in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice. Expanding our administrative capacity when it comes to accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger activities is mission-critical work that allows us to live up to our mission as a team.
The Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the enrollment of Participants in Self-Directed Services, a program funded by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). The Enrollment Coordinator trains and guides new Participants around policies and procedures, and provides technical assistance, guidance, support, and education on how to self-direct DDA-approved services. The Enrollment Coordinator serves as an initial contact and advisor for incoming Participants, facilitates face-to-face or virtual enrollment meetings throughout Maryland, and is a communication hub for Participants, Support Brokers, and Coordinators of Community Services as new Participants enroll.
Your work will involve processing program enrollment materials and reviewing all Participant plan and enrollment documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. Inputting data into databases for tracking, maintaining electronic files, and maintaining a collaborative professional relationship with Participants and all other stakeholders are all essential components of the role.
This role requires a high school diploma or GED, though a bachelors degree in social work or a related field is preferred. This position also requires a minimum of 2 years experience in providing intake or case management. Strong knowledge of DDA services and self-direction is a plus. This role includes professional development and continued education, as well as a competitive total rewards (benefits) package. While this is a remote position, the candidate must be able to travel throughout Maryland for face-to-face intake meeting as necessary and travel to our Linthicum, Maryland headquarters or other Maryland sites for quarterly meetings as needed.
