Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview 30 - 35 hours/week. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for our First United Methodist Church facility. This role supervises the custodial staff and, in cooperation with various committees, is responsible for the upkeep of the church building and grounds. Responsibilities Supervise custodian Be watchful for potential maintenance issues of the electrical, HVAC, plumbing, security/fire, and lighting systems, as well as the general interior and exterior of the building. Where local building codes allow, make first level repairs. When necessary, contract with competent professionals to resolve issues. Be on call for assistance in emergency situations Maintain building security Complete preventive maintenance & cleaning schedules Maintain inventory of custodial supplies & equipment and purchase as needed Perform set-up/tear down of tables/chairs and AV equipment for events Parking lot/sidewalk maintenance Landscape maintenance (mowing, trimming hedges, leaf removal) Trash removal from building Recycling Requirements Proven maintenance/facilities experience Strong mechanical knowledge Excellent communication skills Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year Benefits: Paid time off Work Location: In person
