CGI Federal is looking for a career driven Accounting Professional to join our Finance/Accounting team supporting the Global Support Services (Visa) contract. This position offers the opportunity for growth and career development for a talented and motivated individual. The Accounting position requires an individual to have 0-5 years of applicable experience and a degree in accounting. The primary focus of this position will be full cycle accounting for international branches and subsidiaries. Qualified candidates will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, oral and written skills, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, and a good understanding of project accounting skills. Above all, the successful candidate must be team focused, be willing to serve in multiple roles, and have a can-do attitude. CGI Federal provides a dynamic and exciting environment to learn and grow.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Communication and Approach
Ongoing communication and coordination with Legal, Third Parties, Treasury, Tax, contract management, Finance, Corporate and other Business Units
Attend weekly meetings to participate in start-up and ongoing activities
Maintain permanent documents and reporting calendars for International Accounting; coordinate deliverables with Tax and Third Parties
Maintain documentation profile on all Branches and Subsidiaries
Monthly/Quarterly Accounting & Reporting
Review detail ledger transactions monthly to ensure complete and correct accounting for the entity/Branch
Gather and provide support for all transaction detail to third-party accounting firms as required
Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly
Record transfer pricing revenue
Record professional fees accruals
Prepare entity P&L and B/S statement quarterly as required
Prepare financial reports and respond to other ongoing inquiries for the entities/branches as required by Tax
Respond to audit requests
Work with Corporate on statutory closeout
Prepare cash flow and P&L budgets and forecasts
Monitor cash activity to anticipate when cash deposits are required and to settle intercompany accounts via invoicing
Prepare and submit MSA invoices from the entity to CGI Federal
Review and coordinate payment of vendor invoices as needed for the entities/branches; maintain and document proper invoicing procedures for various geographies
Provide support for vendor and PO set-up
Other
Explore improved processes for reporting, compliance, and working with Third Parties
Work independently with outside accounting firms to prepare statutory financial statements
Gather and provide support for all transaction detail to third-party accounting firms as required
Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly
Record transfer pricing revenue
Record professional fees accruals
Prepare entity P&L and B/S statement quarterly as required
Prepare financial reports and respond to
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,000.00 - $121,100.00.
