Job Description:
Microchip Technology Inc. is looking for a Staff Verification Engineer to work with a verification team, focused on pre-silicon verification of its 16-bit and 32-bit family of Microcontroller products and IP's. Following are job duties:
Architect and develop testbench for 16-bit/32-bit Microcontroller IP's and products using System Verilog and UVM.
Responsible for module level requirements development, TB plan, TB development and full chip integration of the module level TB.
Develop an effective suite of tests and test environments using System Verilog language and UVM to achieve functional verification goals
Collaborate with Architect, Design and applications group engineers to verify the products and IP requirements.
Collaborate with a group of verification engineers, providing technical support/mentoring, and drive projects to completion on time.
Work with verification, architecture, applications, and design teams to develop comprehensive Verification plans
Develop effective functional assertions and coverpoints
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of industry experience
Hands on experience with System Verilog language
Strong Object-Oriented Programming language experience (at least any one OOP language)
Hands on experience with any one verification methodologies, preferred: UVM
Knowledge of Microcontroller architecture
Strong digital design fundamentals
Preferred knowledge of scripting language such as Perl, Python
