Sr. Structural Engineer

My Client, who is located in downtown Chicago, IL, has an immediate requirement for a Project Structural Engineer with Construction Administration experience.  The ideal candidate brings sound engineering judgment, exceptional attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, a passion for mentoring others, professional discretion, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively. Your daily responsibilities will include design/analysis of vertical structures.Must have minimum of 10 years' experience within the United States in Buildings, no bridge experience.Responsibilities/Requirements:· Master’s Degree in Architectural or Civil or Structural Engineering, required· SE Licensed Engineer, required· Minimum 8 years' experience as a Structural Engineer - design and calculations (working with Architects)- Experience in Construction Administration: managing projects, coordinating with contractors, working with Architects· Experience using ETABS, RISA or similar analysis software; AutoCAD/Revit experience· Experience in the design of vertical structures (Hi-Rise, Educational, Government, Healthcare, Hospitality, Industrial, Renovation)· Strong technical experience in the design of steel, concrete, and/or heavy timber structures· Oversight and detailing of projects being managed· Good verbal and written communication skills
