Senior Business Manager - Digital Product Strategy

OverviewAs a Senior Business Manager at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. ECP is responsible for Capital One's digital customer experiences, including its award-winning mobile app, its online presence, as well as its marketing and messaging technology ecosystem. The Strategy team defines and shapes ECP's strategic agenda by unlocking key opportunities and tackling some of our most challenging problems relating to the digital customer experience. This role will lead problem-solving processes in partnership with product, tech and business leaders across ECP and Capital One.An ideal candidate would have a background in, and a passion for, developing visionary strategies, tackling challenging problems, and leading high-performing analyst teams that partner horizontally across the organization.General ResponsibilitiesStrategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory behaviorBusiness ownership: Have an ownership mindset including strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizonLeadership: Manage and develop a team of analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital OneProduct: Partner with Product Managers, Design and Engineering to build the best products for both Capital One and its partnersCredit Risk: Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit and fraud trends to historical behavior and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysisExecution: Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrentlyPartnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including Tech, Product, Design and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitabilityStrong business judgment, leadership and integrity: Be a tenacious decision maker, bringing a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to businessSolid people leadership experience: Ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. Foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and deliver resultsStrong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skillsClear results orientation: Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. Ability to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environmentBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysisAt least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysisAt least 1 year of experience in people managementAt least 1 year of experience in project managementPreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis2+ years of experience in people management2+ years of experience in product development2+ years of experience in financial modeling2+ years of experience in economic forecasting2+ years of experience in project managementCapital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.Compensation and BenefitsThe minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. This salary information is for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Business ManagerMcLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Business ManagerNew York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Business ManagerRiverwoods, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Business ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
