Embedded Software Engineer

A robotics manufacturer, who are developing cutting edge robotic systems for the construction industry are in need of an Embedded Software Engineer on a 12-month contract basis. This is fully on-site role based in Austin, TX. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimise software for embedded Linux and edge computing platformsIntegrate sensors, hardware, and third-party systems into production environmentsDevelop high-performance applications and services in C++ and PythonTroubleshoot complex system-level issues across hardware and software boundariesSupport testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of software delivery processesRequired Experience5+ years of commercial experience developing software for embedded, industrial, robotics, aerospace, defence, automotive, or other complex engineering environmentsStrong C++ and Python development skills within Linux-based systemsExperience working with distributed software architectures, middleware frameworks, or ROS 2Strong understanding of real-time, multithreaded, or performance-critical applicationsExperience integrating hardware, sensors, networking, or edge computing platformsProven ability to debug and resolve complex software and system integration challengesFamiliarity with modern software engineering practices including Git, automated testing, and CI/CDFor more information, click apply and I will reach out to discuss directly.
