Behavioral Health Therapist Part Time Days

Summary Job Description: Part Time 24 weekly hours, day shift (7A-7P) Job Summary • Responsible for coordinating and assessing all patients referred to the Access Center from the Emergency Department and Main Hospital. • Coordinates the approval and level of care determination in cooperation with the psychiatrist, patient/family and insurance verification. • Coordinates and facilitates outside referrals and placement if needed Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job by listing the major components for this position (i.e., key responsibilities and essential duties). Participates in the formulation of a treatment plan, implementation and evaluationImplement therapeutic, evidenced based group therapy and psychoeducational classes to meet the needs of the patientsProvide brief therapeutic counselingAssist patients with paperwork needed for FMLA and Short-term Disability in order to be away from work while in treatmentDevelops and maintains professional relationships with treatment team members, hospital and medical staff and community partners Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures RequiredMaster's Degree required2 years of job-related experience requiredExperience working in a hospital setting; knowledge of substance use disorder treatment; experience in group therapy preferredActive Kentucky License: LCSW, LPCC, or LMFTIncumbent may also be an RN: Active KY RN license required. 2 years psychiatric nursing required. Must obtain ANCC certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing within one year.
