This role supports the design, implementation, and operation of networking environments, including routing, switching, and network security, and contributes to system reliability, performance, and infrastructure-related projects.Essential FunctionsDesign, implement, and maintain LAN/SD-WAN network infrastructure across enterprise environmentsConfigure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systemsMonitor network performance, availability, and capacity; proactively identify and resolve issuesTroubleshoot network connectivity, latency, and security-related incidentsSupport and optimize VPN, remote access, and site-to-site connectivity solutionsCollaborate with cloud and systems teams to ensure seamless hybrid network integrationMaintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and standard proceduresImplement and enforce network security best practices, including segmentation and access controlParticipate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projectsAssist in disaster recovery planning and network resiliency effortsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities/ExpectationsHands on legacy network hardware and Cisco IOS software experienceHands on telephony and voice integration and traffic engineering relatedOn premises to cloud network refactoring design and implementationQualificationsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field (Required)Licenses/CertificationsOther: Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent (Preferred)Understanding of network security concepts and best practices RequiredFamiliarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools RequiredStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP) RequiredExperience5+ years in network engineering or a related role (Required)Prior Experience with enterprise networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HPE,or similar) (Required)Prior Experience configuring firewalls and VPN technologies (Required)Prior Experience scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) (Preferred)Additional Qualifications ClarificationUnderstanding of network security concepts and best practices (Required proficiency)Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Required proficiency)Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP) (Required proficiency)
