Responsibilities: Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical (Medsurg) unit. Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses based on established protocols. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform other nursing procedures as required. Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques. Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories, nursing care plans, and medication administration records. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized environment. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing input and suggestions for process enhancements. Stay updated on current nursing practices, attending educational seminars, workshops, and conferences as required. Consistently demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect for patients, families, and colleagues. Requirements: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York. Minimum of 2 years of Medsurg nursing experience. BLS certification (ACLS preferred) from a recognized organization. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
