They serve as trusted resources for regional teams, leading challenging opportunities, evaluating complex technical and financial decisions, communicating effectively with executive stakeholders, and driving alignment across multidisciplinary teams.Successful Executive Project Developers understand how customer needs, building systems, financial structures, construction execution, risk management, emerging technologies, and organizational priorities come together to create successful projects. They are comfortable leading workshops, coaching regional developers, reviewing construction strategies, and presenting to executive decision makers. Above all, they elevate everyone around them.What you will do:Lead strategic project developmentOversee project development for high-profile, complex, and strategic opportunities across North AmericaSupport regional teams throughout opportunity qualification, audit planning, solution development, project strategy, financial evaluation, risk management, customer engagement, and contract executionSupport regional teams & capability growthCollaborate with Project Developers, Sales teams, Energy Engineers, and Operations leaders to strengthen project development capabilitiesProvide coaching, mentoring, technical guidance, and project leadership support to ensure successful development and execution of complex opportunitiesDrive project strategy & customer alignmentFacilitate definition of customer objectives, prioritization of investments, evaluation of alternatives, and alignment of stakeholders around a common visionSupport executive presentations, customer workshops, and strategic planning discussions throughout project developmentAdvance project development excellencePromote deployment and adoption of project development standard work, tools, processes, and best practices across North AmericaEncourage knowledge sharing, capture lessons learned, and identify opportunities to enhance consistency, quality, productivity, and customer outcomesChampion innovation & emerging technologiesEvaluate market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to identify new solution opportunitiesPartner with internal experts to incorporate advanced technologies, building analytics, geothermal, digital solutions, AI-enabled tools, electrification strategies, and resilience-focused solutions into customer projectsEnsure technical, financial & execution alignmentGuide teams in balancing customer objectives, technical feasibility, financial performance, constructability, operational considerations, implementation risk, and long-term valueSupport quality reviews of audits, financial models, project scopes, contractor strategies, and customer deliverablesWhat you will bring:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Energy Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, Business, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience8+ years of experience leading development of complex energy, infrastructure, facility modernization, design-build, performance contracting, or capital improvement projectsDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project development teams through opportunity qualification, audit development, solution development, financial evaluation, and contract executionStrong understanding of building systems, energy conservation measures, facility infrastructure, constructability, and project implementation strategiesExperience developing and evaluating business cases, lifecycle cost analyses, financial models, project risks, and customer value propositionsAbility to lead and influence diverse teams without direct authorityStrong communication, facilitation, presentation, and executive engagement skillsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with audiences ranging from facility and operational stakeholders to executive leadershipExperience coordinating engineers, consultants, contractors, estimators, operations teams, and customer stakeholders throughout project developmentWillingness to travel throughout North America to support regional teams and strategic customer opportunitiesPreferred ExperienceExperience leading Investment Grade Audits (IGA), Detailed Audits, Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC), Design-Build, Large Turnkey, Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12, Municipal, Federal, Industrial, or Commercial projectsDeep familiarity with HVAC systems, controls, energy management systems, electrical infrastructure, central utility plants, renewable energy systems, resilience solutions, and intelligent building technologiesExperience managing project development budgets, schedules, audit teams, consultant engagements, and contractor procurement activitiesExperience deploying standard work, operational improvements, capability-building programs, or organizational change initiatives across multiple teams or regionsPreferred CertificationsOne or more of the following certifications are valued:Professional Engineer (PE)Certified Energy Manager (CEM)Project Management Professional (PMP)Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA)LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:$113,600.00 - $204,609.99Compensation Type:SalaryIncentive Eligible:YesSales Commission Eligible:NoThrive at work and at home:Benefits kick in on DAY ONE for you and your family, including health insurance and holistic wellness programs that include generous incentives – WE DARE TO CARE!Family building benefits include fertility coverage and adoption/surrogacy assistance.401K match up to 6%, plus an additional 2% core contribution = up to 8% company contribution.Paid time off includes 15 vacation days, 9 paid holidays, 3 floating holidays, sick leave, and additional options to support volunteer and parental leave.Educational and training opportunities through company programs along with tuition assistance and student debt support.Safety Sensitive Role:YesThe company designates certain roles as Safety Sensitive.
