Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in Emeryville, CA to support a fast-paced clinical care team through a combination of direct patient support and front desk/administrative coordination.This role combines hands-on clinical support with scheduling, referrals, and front office operations to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care.Pay: $30–$38/hour (based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)IMPORTANT: This position is recruited by Adecco’s Healthcare & Life Sciences division. Please apply with an updated resume for immediate consideration.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical / Patient Care SupportRoom patients and obtain vitals, weights, and intake informationAssist providers with exams, procedures, and clinical set-upsPerform injections, vaccinations, waived testing (urine dip, pregnancy, glucose), EKGs, and specimen collection per protocolSupport medication refills and administer medications per guidelinesPrepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and suppliesScheduling & Care CoordinationSchedule new and returning patient appointmentsCoordinate radiology and specialty referralsManage referrals, authorizations, and care coordination workflowsFront Desk / Administrative SupportPatient check-in/check-out and insurance verificationEnter demographic and insurance data and assign medical record numbersCollect payments and confirm authorizations prior to visitsManage patient messaging between clinical staff and patientsMaintain accurate documentation in EHR and scheduling systemsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMedical Assistant Certificate from an approved program or equivalent clinical training requiredExperience in outpatient clinic, primary care, or specialty care settingWorking knowledge of EHR systems, medical scheduling, and clinical documentationFamiliarity with coding, billing, and authorization processesCMA or RMA certification preferredLicenses & CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) requiredMedical Assistant certification/license requiredCMA or RMA preferredBenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefit options.
