Commissary Manager Hourly
Commissary Manager Hourly Manage all aspects of on-site commissary operations. Ensure compliance of all contract requirements. Direct management of staff including hiring, scheduling, and taking performance actions when necessary. Prepare new products or product change documents for communication to inmates. Coordinate inmate commissary delivery schedule updates with site staff in advance, for example holidays. Review product sales and make menu suggestions to increase sales and improve fulfillment. Competently operate commissary equipment including software and delivery equipment. Interact with secured inmates in a "security first" and respectful manner. Handle situations that require prompt attention and/or action and immediately report issues. Education and Qualifications: All applicants must pass facility employee security requirements. Applicants must maintain a current accredited status as a corrections officer to move around the facility without an escort. Customer service experience a plus. Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning experience. Preferably with a commissary, retail sales, or inventory management background or (1) year full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or law enforcement experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Move at a speed that is required to respond to work situations (e. g., run, walk, jog). Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e. g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e. g., to identify defects). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Tuesday-Friday- 0700 to 5:30 with a 30 minute lunch.
