Maverick Learning Center is committed to creating individualized solutions that meet the unique needs of every student.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Special Education Teacher role located in Virginia Beach, VA. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs), teaching and supporting students with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Additional responsibilities include monitoring students' progress, collaborating with families and staff, and implementing behavioral and academic strategies tailored to each student's needs.QualificationsExperience and knowledge in working with students with Disabilities and in Special EducationStrong Teaching experienceExcellent Communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and studentsAbility to design and implement personalized educational plansBachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; state teaching certification is requiredExperience with autism spectrum and developmental delays is highly valuable
