Special Education Ed Tech III (1.0 FTE) - Moore Middle School

We need educators who are excited to engage in reimagining and rebuilding our school’s identity to suit the students and staff here now. We have a diverse and amazing student population and an incredible core of educators deeply committed to the school community. At the direction of the principal, assists teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well being. Duties involve working with students individually and in small groups assessing performance, reinforcing instruction, motivating learning, assisting with classroom management, and performing clerical and other non-instructional work.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDSKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesAbility to manage data management systems, analyze, ans synthesize dataAbility to Support teaching and learningAbility to manage and oversee schoolwide testing proceduresAbility to interact with staff, students, parents, and other in an open, friendly, business-like manner.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:Approval as an Educational Technician III by the Maine Department of Education. In the alternative, Maine provisional or professional teacher certification.Preference will be given to candidates with a college degree that includes nine credit hours related to an education field such as behavior management or classroom strategies, and to candidates who have at least one year of experience working with students in structured situations.CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:Maine State fingerprint (CHRC) authorization.
