Chemist - Entry-Level

CURRENTLY SEEKING FOR CHEMICAL LABORATORY - Recent Chemistry/Biology GraduatesTECH 2000 is currently seeking recent Chemistry/Biology graduates for an entry-level chemist assignment at our client facility within the Conroe area.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a science-related field strongly preferred; Associates in a Science is requiredAcademic experience with analytical techniques, including GC, HPLC, ICP, and wet chemistry methodsAny industrial lab analysis experience is helpful!Responsibilities:Perform routine testing to determine and report the final product quality status to manufacturingAccurately input all data into the LIMS system and record test results in a legible manner in designated logbooks.Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment. Perform periodic preventative maintenance of all Laboratory equipment. Be able to troubleshoot equipment to identify and/or correct source of problem.Conduct job tasks in a professional manner utilizing good housekeeping practices and laboratory technique.Accurate review and generate customer COAs.Retain all finished samples and maintain retain storage in orderly condition.Job SkillsStrong communication and multitasking skillsComputer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and LIMS experience preferredIdentify and understand properties and hazards of chemicalsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and customers.Aptitude for high precision workMechanical aptitudeBasic knowledge of statistics and physical chemistryPrior to employment, candidates will be required to submit to a drug screen and/or background check, and may be required to obtain a TWIC card.Pay: $20.00 per hour, Contract-to-HireFollow TECH 2000 for additional opportunities in laboratory, petrochemical, and analytical environments.
