Sr Engineer Networking

Overview In this role you design, implement, and support scalable, reliable network solutions for media and corporate environments. You will work within the network engineering team to deliver high-performance services and support lifecycle activities. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to troubleshoot, validate changes, and improve network readiness. You will help drive documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing to empower operations and junior engineers. This is a hands-on position at Paramount’s Hauppauge office with a focus on impact and operational excellence. Compensation / Benefitsmedical, dental, vision401(k) planlife insurancedisability benefitstuition assistance programpaid time off ResponsibilitiesDesign and support scalable routing and switching for media and corporate networksEvaluate new networking technologies and platforms and provide inputTroubleshoot with vendors and internal teams and manage lifecycle activitiesExecute approved network changes within change management windowsServe as a technical resource for operations teams and incident resolutionCreate and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standardsParticipate in peer design reviews and technical discussionsCollaborate with Level 2/3 teams to resolve complex issuesMentor junior/mid-level engineers during deployments or upgradesEscalate and collaborate on high-impact problems with senior staff Key requirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5–7 years of IP networking and IP security design and implementationHands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, NetScaler, or equivalent platformsStrong routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, MPLS)Knowledge of IP multicast and QoS conceptsExperience with network monitoring/management toolsExperience in medium to large enterprise networksExperience in Media/Entertainment/Broadcast/ISP environments is a plusExperience with Optical Transport networks such as Ciena is a plusstrong collaboration and teamworkclear verbal and written communicationtroubleshooting and problem solving in productionIP networkingsecurity design and implementationrouting protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS
