Our client, a growing middle market sized company in the western Michigan area, is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JOB COST AND PROJECT experience at a middle market sized company.RESPONSIBILITIES of the Project AccountantProject Accountant will have lead role in month end close, monthly financial statement analysis/preparation, and operations reportingProject Accountant will prepare Annual budget and update forecasts on a monthly basis or as neededWork closely with Business Unit team to identify/address risks and opportunitiesMaintain the analysis on capital project spending compared to planProject Accountant will support Sales team on new business quoting/tracking/updating.BENEFITS OF THE Project Accountant :Strong benefitsExposure to upper managementWork collaboratively with different areasEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE of the Project Accountant:3+ years of finance experience in a mid-sized or large companyBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related fieldExpert in Excel knowledge, Pivot Tables, Vlookup and SUMIF formulasWorking knowledge of large ERP system
