Graduate Designer (Entry Level Interior Designer)

Graduate DesignerThe Graduate Designer supports the design team by producing interior design drafting, BIM models, and visual presentations that align with Studio+ standards. This role assists with maintaining the resource library, coordinating vendor information, documenting existing conditions, and supporting code research. The Graduate Designer collaborates with team members and clients through presentations and design reviews and contributes to project delivery while actively developing professional skills.QualificationsBachelor's degree in interior designfrom an accredited institution.CIDAaccredited institutionpreferred0-3 years of experience in design or comparable entry-level positionExperience in current design software (Revit, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office applicationsAdditional drafting, illustration, and renderingexperience is highly desirableStrong organizational and time management skillsClear and professional verbal and written communication skills for working with team members, clients, and vendorsOpenness to feedback and ability to apply revisions effectively to support project goalsCreative thinking and willingness to contribute ideas during the design development processFoundational problem-solving skills toassistwith design and basic technical challengesIntent to pursue licensure is preferredEssential FunctionsDesign Development and DraftingProduce high-quality interior design drafting and BIM modeling that align with Studio+'s design intent and standards.Create and contribute to 3D models, renderings, and visual presentations to support design goals and client communication.Resource ManagementMaintain Studio+'s resource library, including specifications, materials, finishes, and samples, ensuring accessibility and organization.Assist in researching and sourcing materials, furniture, finishes, and fixtures to meet project requirements and budgets.Maintain ID email in order to coordinate rep meetings and to set up product and CEU lunch and learnsDocumentation and CoordinationAccurately document, inspect, and field measure existing building projects to inform design solutions.Assemble and distribute completed sets of documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.Collaborate with printing companies and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project documentation.Code and Compliance ResearchResearch building codes, ADA requirements, and other regulations to ensure design compliance.Help identify compliance challenges and implement solutions in coordination with senior team members.Client and Team CollaborationSupport business development activities by preparing finish boards, mood boards, and PowerPoint presentations.Actively participate in team design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and client presentations to contribute creative ideas and solutions.Project Support and DeliveryAssist in understanding production requirements, project phasing, and budget tracking to support successful project outcomes.Participate in QA/QC reviews and assist with submittals.Professional DevelopmentEngage in mentorship opportunities with experienced team members to accelerate skill growth.Proactively pursue knowledge of industry trends, tools, and practices to enhance design contributions.Studio+ Mission, DNA, and ValuesEmbody and promote the Studio+ DNA.Ensure that all project decisions, communications, and outcomes reflect the firm's core values and culture.Champion a client-and people-centered approach, reinforcing the Studio+'s mission.J-18808-Ljbffr
