Sr. HW Technical Program Manager

Overview Senior HW Technical Program Manager at Microsoft SCHIE (HIFE) leads cross-functional teams to plan and execute new cloud hardware development. You drive a holistic product launch strategy, manage risks, and ensure milestones are met while aligning with senior management. You will shape hardware-software collaboration, optimize data center infrastructure, and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. This role offers impact through accelerating cloud hardware delivery and improving overall efficiency, with executive-level communications and broad stakeholder alignment. ResponsibilitiesLead virtual cross-functional teams to establish a clear Plan-of-Record for new product development and drive milestonesProvide technical program management for cloud hardware development and orchestrate cross-functional launch strategyIdentify technical risks, collaborate with internal/external partners, and define an effective project planUnderstand product requirements, milestones, deliverables, and interdependencies to build robust program infrastructureOffer problem-solving leadership to close gaps via a cross-functional teamCommunicate risks and dependencies to leadership and ensure timely decisionsEnsure accountability for delivering best-in-class architecture solutions and manage risk mitigationConduct risk management for new product introduction and scenario planningMaintain cross-functional alignment and readiness for data center infrastructure development, launch, and deploymentsUse program management tools to create a shared understanding of the program plan among stakeholders Key requirementsBachelor's degree and 4+ years in engineering, technical program management, data analysis, or product development2+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects3+ years of experience providing executive-level communications and program updatesAbility to partner with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and implement features, processes, and workflowsAbility to create and operationalize processes to improve organizational effectiveness towards business goalsCoach and grow Program Managers within the team and partnersAbility to align stakeholders and drive milestones to completion on schedule and within budgetAbility to monitor and measure engineering impact with KPIsStrong technical design, problem solving, debugging, and communication skillsProven experience shipping high-quality products and servicesAbility to manage ambiguity, prioritize strategic options, and drive issues to closureProven collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve resultsPresentation skills for senior executives and IT managementSupplier management experience for ODMs, SIs, and IHVsMust meet Microsoft security screening requirements including Cloud Background Checkcross-functional collaborationeffective communicationleadership and coachingtechnical HW + SW project leadershiprisk management and mitigationrequirements to launch planning
