We are a small, independent accounting firm and provide various services for businesses in several different industries. We are expanding to help our clients even more and need of a reliable accountant to start immediately.Why us? ImpAcct, LLC was started in 2016 to serve the small business community by providing financial literacy, diligence, and support. Our group of professionals are known to be great listeners, and even better problem-solvers. We strive to help our clients by not just providing financial reconciliations and tax assistance, but insight and advice into their business based on our experiences. What is the job? This is a Senior Accountant position, meaning you have had a college degree in accounting completed, experience for several years at the Staff Accountant and Senior Accountant roles, and ready to become an Accounting Supervisor/Manager within the next year or two. You understand GAAP, Excel Spreadsheets, Quickbooks Online, small business, and small CPA firms. You may have passed the CPA exam already or are in process of doing so. The day-to-day work entails reconciling bank statements, loan statements, entering journal entries, entering payroll, AP or AR, working face-to-face with clients, drafting monthly financial statements, and researching problems to come up with solutions. You are to the point where you can work independently, but maybe not teach others just yet. You enjoy challenges and are professional. You can work remotely reliably, and be counted on to make deadlines and are an excellent communicator. What would make you stand out: ·       A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.·       A minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting experience preferably with a small accounting firm, with 1-2 years additional experience in industry experience. Small business experience is greatly desired – there is nothing quite like helping small business owners. Large company experience does not tend to translate into small business advisory services.·       CPA in progress preferred – experience with both accounting (senior-level preferred) and tax preparation/planning (resolution not needed) highly preferred.·       Quickbooks Online or Xero experience necessary – please do not apply if you do not have QBO or Xero skills, or at least familiarity with how small business GL software processes information.·       It helps a lot to be an Excel ninja, understand Google Drive/GSuite applications, and can learn other programs.·       Understanding of GAAP and basic tax terminology·       Ability to work independently and problem solve·       Understanding that small business accounting includes all aspects of accounting including, but not limited to daily AP, AR, and balance sheet reconciliation·       Payroll, sales/use tax, and property tax all helpful skills·       Great written and oral communication skills·       Ability to work and learn rapidly and accurately, adhere to deadlines and changing demandsResponsibilities Include:·       Making journal entries·       Entering transactions in appropriate accounts (vendor bills, customer invoices, payments, and deposits)·       Payment of AP, application for incoming payments of AR (and alerting client of overdue AR), ·       Bank Reconciliations·       Emails and correspondence with clients·       Run payroll in payroll processing software based on client supporting documentation·       Sales tax return preparation and remittance to various jurisdictions·       Financial Statement initial preparation, balance sheet reconciliations·       Certain tax prep items, like transaction details for fixed assets entries·       Developing client relationships to provide financial reporting and analysisCompensation: Competitive hourly wage dependent upon experience with range of $37-42 per hour. This position is eligible for PTO that accrues based on your average weekly schedule, along with paid holidays. All candidates also are eligible to participate in the Company 401K plan, with generous 401K Company match program. If full time (noted as over 25 hours per week on average), this position offers optional medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits as well. You will be working remotely. You will need reliable internet to accommodate remote work, and we provide the equipment. We are looking for a long-term employee to grow with the Company and advance over time and are in search for a personable, intelligent, and reliable individual to join our team. Please contact Teresa with your resume and availability for interview. Only qualified candidates will be contacted for further consideration.
