Ensures that all equipment and installations comply with applicable GMP, regulatory, safety and environment requirements.Support of processing, packaging equipment, and palletizing equipment projects and projects up to $2 millon.Engineering leadership in working with the manufacturing areas to identify and manage the Capital 5-year LRP (long range plan). Manages all aspects of the project development process for long range business improvements to the production equipment and processes, including cost estimating and project scheduling.Engineering interface with Division Engineering in the support of major divisional project initiatives affecting the plant. Project Engineering - Manage all aspects of the capital planning process for assigned areas including development and management of cost improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, request for capital expenditures, management of the Capital Project LRP and project financial projections.\Communications – Provide timely, effective communication with plant management, department members, peers, and personnel in the production areas. Ability to work in a changing environment that requires teamwork and collaboration.Environmental, Heath, & Safety – Be involved in and accountable for EH&S performance and compliance. Assure all projects meet current EHS requirements.Cost Reduction / Productivity Improvements - Utilize cost improvement and BEx tools to evaluate manufacturing equipment and make on-going improvements in the production areas through the capital planning process.Manufacturing Operations – Specify, purchase, install, and improve automated process manufacturing equipment and systems. Key focus areas include facility, filling, sterilization, and packaging equipmentRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in an engineering or technical discipline5+ years experience in Project EngineeringDemonstrated experience running capital projects that are related to industrial equipment including scoping, engineering, procurement, and commissioning in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience in equipment troubleshooting and hands on installationPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or similarExperience running capital projects in a food or pharma manufacturing environment, including IQ/OQ/PQ validationExperience managing 3rd party engineering firms including defining their scope, reviewing their work with project stakeholders, and bidding out the design to vendorsExperience leading contractors through a project installation including demolition, installation, commissioning, and startupProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plusApply NowIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
