Application Engineer

The Applications Engineer supports SemiNex’s marketing, product management, and customer engagement activities by serving as the technical interface between customers, Sales, Engineering, and Operations. This role combines hands-on technical support with marketing execution, including development of product literature, website updates, and support for new product introductions (NPI). Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Product Management, the Applications Engineer supports technical customer inquiries, assists with testing and qualification, engineering change orders, and contributes to branding, content creation, and industry-facing communications. *Specific Responsibilities:* * Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams to support product selection, design-in, and application-specific solutions * Respond to technical customer inquiries and coordinate deeper technical support with Engineering as required * Support new product introductions (NPI), including product testing, specification development, and technical content creation * Develop and maintain product literature, datasheets, application notes, presentations, and collateral * Support website updates, press releases, product announcements, and marketing communications * Assist with exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, and industry events, including technical presentations and customer interactions * Contribute to social media and digital marketing activities in coordination with Marketing leadership * Prepare technical content for proposals, RFP responses, and customer presentations * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and technical documentation in CRM and shared systems * Conduct application research to identify new use cases and opportunities across Data Centers, medical, LiDAR, industrial, and defense markets * Collaborate cross-functionally to support customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and long-term account objectives *Qualifications:* * Bachelor’s plus 3 years’ experience or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field * Strong understanding of optoelectronic or semiconductor devices; laser diode experience preferred * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customer-facing experience * Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe or similar design tools a plus * Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and social media tools is beneficial *Work Location:* * Danvers, MA near Interstate I-95 and Route 128.
