OPERADOR/SET UP
Position SummaryThe Third Shift Operator/Set Up will be responsible for operations, minor mechanical repairs, adjustment, and troubleshooting for the assembly and packaging areas. The Operator/Set Up ensures the production line operates correctly, implements corrective and preventive actions, and maintains quality and continuous flow of products following applicable procedures.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinal product payment/quality oversightMeet production goals and product quality as established by proceduresOperate machines at optimum speed complying with OSHA, QSR, and ISO13485 regulationsManage raw materials, production supplies, and work in processAlign with documentation required following GMP practicesEnter production confirmation into MRPUse Statistical Process Control to maintain process control and meet product requirementsApply 5S principles to keep machine and area clean and organizedDetect and evaluate product deviations, correct, adjust, or change machinery to meet standardsReport safety hazards to supervisorParticipate in decision-making and perform functions with or without direct supervisionMaintain equipment and tools in optimal condition including daily and preventive maintenanceReport machine malfunctions to engineering/maintenanceMaintain communication with manufacturing supervisorsDifferentiated between electronic and mechanical malfunctions to advise engineering and maintenance departmentsEvaluate preventive maintenance effectiveness and recommend changes; perform additional duties as assignedKnowledge and SkillsWorking knowledge in electronics, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsAbility to read and understand drawings and schematicsGood communication, teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving skillsExperience with measuring instrumentsCapacity to move products or heavy equipmentEducation and ExperienceTechnical certification in Industrial Mechanics, Electronics, or related industrial fieldKnowledge of MS Office and design programs1+ year experience in the Medical Device, Pharmacy, or Cosmetics industriesExperience in maintenance of automated industrial machines or toolingExperience with form-fill-seal equipment such as Tiromat, Multivac, or MahaffyPreferable bilingual (Spanish & English)LocationUSA PR - AnascoWork ShiftNA (United States of America)Legal Notice (EEO Statement)Becton, Dickinson, and Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
