5 STAR Event Services is seeking energetic, reliable, and guest-focused individuals to join our Guest Services & Event Safety Team for CERAWeek, taking place March 19-27, 2026, one of the world's premier energy conferences. This is a permanent part-time, hourly position with opportunities to work additional sports, entertainment, and corporate events throughout the year. View our full event calendar:As part of our Event Staff and Security team, you will help ensure a safe, smooth, and welcoming experience for all CERAWeek attendees, speakers, and VIP guests. Your presence helps maintain the integrity of the venue and supports the overall success of this high-profile event. Pay Range: Starting at $15.00/hr, depending on role and experience. Duties:Maintain the safety, comfort, and professionalism expected at a global conference.Monitor and control access to designated areas, including VIP and restricted zones.Conduct routine screening procedures such as bag checks, ticket/credential verification, and prohibited-item prevention.Greet guests, provide directions, and assist with wayfinding throughout the venue.Keep walkways and access routes clear for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic.Respond to guest concerns and complaints in accordance with company policies.Observe and report suspicious behavior or safety concerns.Assist with emergency procedures, including orderly building evacuation if required.Provide security escorts and support per CERAWeek operational needs. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must also possess the following qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalentAt least 18 years of ageReliable forms of communication and transportationLEVEL 2 SECURITY LICENSE (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply, pass exam, submit to fingerprinting, and criminal background check.)Skills and Abilities: A strong customer-service attitude and professional appearancePossess excellent written and oral communication skillsThe ability to understand and interpret credentials, documents, signs, rules, policies, and instructionsThe ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons and other employeesThe ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quicklyThe ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations Physical Requirements:Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see and speak English clearlyThe ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)The ability to lift 25lbs. Work Environment: Elevated noise levels. Athletic and musical events can be very loud, and employees must be prepared to be exposed to increased noise levels. Ear plugs are available upon request.An energetic and fast-paced environmentCrowds (as in lots of people)Working outdoor venues. Some of the events we work take place outside or in open-air venues and take place rain or shine.
