Description Summary: Performs complex assembly operations and leads production teams. Duties and Responsibilities Under minimal supervision, performs substantially varied and complex tasks Applies advanced skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area Adapts new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels Must be able to distinguish colors Must be able to use simple electrical test equipment and follow written test procedures Knowledge of production procedures Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports Simple computer literacy Ability to work well under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees and supervisor Ability to motivate self and encourage coworkers to reach their goals May help assist in other areas of production May assume lead’s duties in their absence Scope Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience Completes assignments and facilitates the work activities of others; may coordinate work beyond own area Proposes improvements to processes Works autonomously within established procedures and practices Key Responsibilities Education and Experience High School w/6+ years’ experience or AA/AS/Technical School w/3-6 years’ experience Certified with J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Class Standards Physical demands and abilities Able to lift up to 35 pounds Regularly performs repetitive tasks Able to stand for entire shift Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
