Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Interventional Cardiologist (MD/DO) Must b e legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota, depending on the location of the practice to which you are assigned Position Summary The Interventional Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care with a focus on catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role includes evaluation and management of patients with coronary and structural heart disease, performance of interventional procedures, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular conditionsPerform interventional cardiology procedures consistent with training and privileges, including diagnostic cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary interventionParticipate in emergent and elective interventional coverage, including STEMI response as applicableProvide pre-procedural assessment and post-procedural care, including complication managementInterpret cardiac diagnostic studies, including coronary angiography and hemodynamic dataCollaborate with non-invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care teamsProvide inpatient consultation services and outpatient clinic careEducate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, risks, and treatment plansMaintain accurate, timely clinical documentationParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiativesSupervise and educate fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers as applicableComply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency programCompletion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowshipCompletion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology fellowshipBoard-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular DiseaseBoard certification or eligibility in Interventional CardiologyAbility to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensureDEA registration or eligibility Skills and Competencies Expertise in interventional cardiology procedures and catheter-based techniquesStrong clinical judgment and procedural decision-making skillsAbility to manage high-acuity cardiovascular patientsExcellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skillsCommitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient safety Work Environment Cardiac catheterization laboratories, hospital inpatient units, and outpatient cardiology clinicsCall coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays as required Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during proceduresManual dexterity and stamina for catheter-based interventionsVisual and auditory acuity sufficient for procedural and clinical care
