The individual performs gradually increasing Medical Assistant responsibilities as they build skills through classwork and clinical training. This role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.Does this position require Patient Care? YesEssential FunctionsInterview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and test results in medical records.Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
