Expert Systems Engineer
Overview
In this role you drive complex GEOINT solutions by leading requirements and solutions engineering across multiple federal programs. You work with cross-functional teams to plan, trace, and translate mission needs into system capabilities, while guiding integration, testing, and performance under DoD/IC processes. You advise the Government on design changes and leverage new technologies to improve existing systems. This on-site, mission-focused position offers the chance to shape large-scale, system-of-systems solutions in a national security context.

ResponsibilitiesLead requirements and solutions engineering across multiple agencies to ensure timely GEOINT deliveryCoordinate scheduling, reliability, resiliency, and maintainability analyses across programsAdvise government on changes to solutions designs based on requirements and new technologyTranslate mission/customer needs into system/capability requirements and solutionsSupport allocation of requirements to architecture components and program executionLead systems integration activities and AoA/CoA/Trade StudiesOversee technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface designProvide expert cross-program guidance on vision, strategy, plans, and process developmentsLead the integration Maven across NGA, DIE, and ICCoordinate work of Senior/Mid/Junior contractor Systems Engineers
Key requirementsMaster’s degree in Systems Engineering and 15+ years of related experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 18+ years of related experience15+ years of DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES, or large System of Systems/SoA/Cloud experienceDemonstrated experience with the systems engineering lifecycleTS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain SCI and polygraphProven experience in government or industry environments with complex engineering programsleadership and people managementstrong communication with government stakeholdersanalytical and problem-solving mindsetModel Based Systems Engineering (knowledge)Cloud environments familiarityBig Data (structured and unstructured) experience
