The Facilities Technician I is accountable for performing basic maintenance functions and for assisting senior staff with more complex maintenance. Position is also accountable for maintaining a clean warehouse environment; ensuring warehouse materials are appropriately recycled; and for maintaining clean grounds at Corporate and annex locations.AccountabilitiesConducts maintenance functions in a proactive, efficient manner by effectively performing basic installations, preventative maintenance and repairs for buildings, building systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical, etc), and internal infrastructure (e.g., reconfiguration of furniture or cubicles, etc.); and by assisting senior staff with more complex repairs.Maintains clean warehouse environment in an efficient manner by dumping trash daily at all workstations and by sweeping entire warehouse including workstations.Ensures multiple daily recycling of cardboard and packing materials in an efficient manner by retrieving materials from various warehouse locations, and by sorting and transferring to recycling bins.Maintains clean grounds in an efficient manner by performing daily trash removal.Maintains warehouse shelving by performing necessary construction and repairs.Ensures continued mailroom operations in absence of mailroom coordinator by performing mailroom coordinator duties.Completes additional duties and projects as directed by reviewing request with manager and appropriately carrying out request.Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
