Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with extensive experience and local expertise, enabling us to represent our clients on demand and with greater speed and efficiency than our competitors.This is a contract opportunity in which you will perform a 1-day customer QMS audit in Chicago, IL and surrounding areas. You are given the flexibility to accept or reject these assignments according to your own availability.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct Virtual and Onsite Assessments: Evaluate supplier products and processes according to our client's stringent requirements using QuaSAR and ProBAR toolsQuality Management System Audits: Assess suppliers' QMS against our client's QuaSAR QMS and ProBAR product quality requirements, ensuring procedures, work instructions, and documentation meet our standardsInspection Verification: Ensure inspection equipment and methodologies are capable of detecting defects and validate in-process controls and records traceability.Report Compilation: Compile detailed assessment reports, incorporating evidence and documenting scores and identified gapsCollaboration and Communication: Work closely with suppliers and our client's internal teams to resolve quality issues and ensure effective implementation of CAPA proceduresRequired Qualifications5+ years in quality engineering, with expertise in statistics, variability reduction, manufacturing methods, and data analysis. Strong knowledge of RCCA, failure analysis, 8D, and Six Sigma methodologiesA degree in engineering or equivalent experienceAbility to detect discrepancies and ensure thorough, accurate quality assessmentsEffective verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey technical information clearlyProactive approach to identifying issues and driving solutions. Does not include following up on CAPA for any findings or reimbursement for travel expenses - expenses are reimbursed at cost with receipts per SQA travel policy. Note that SQA assists in audit preparation and proofreads all audit reports.
