Cost AccountantPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing costs in our manufacturing processes, ensuring accuracy in cost reporting and supporting financial decision-making. The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in optimizing costs and enhancing profitability through effective cost analysis and reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic cost reportsDevelop and maintain cost standards for products and servicesCollaborate with various departments to support budgeting and forecastingMonitor inventory levels and assess cost implications of inventory managementProvide cost analysis to management for strategic decision-makingPrepare reports on landed costs and assist in cost-saving initiativesSupport the financial reporting team with relevant cost dataConduct regular audits of costs and implement corrective actions as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of cost accounting principles and practicesExperience with 3PL (third-party logistics) and logistics costsProficient in financial reporting and analysisCPA or CMA certification is a plusKnowledge of landed cost modeling is preferredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesBenefits" Complimentary lunch every day."
