Details Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (PCU) within an acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital (Level 3 Trauma, 317 beds) Patient population includes post-cardiovascular procedure patients (post-CABG, valve replacement, Watchman, TAVR), CHF, DKA/HHS, thoracotomy, cardio-renal syndrome, respiratory failure, and arrhythmias Proficiency with vasoactive IV drips, insulin/Endotool drips, chest tubes, BiPAP, CPAP, AVAPS, heated high flow, and temporary pacers is expected Charting is performed in Epic (Excellian); experience required Schedule is 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30) Every other weekend is required No on-call requirements Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals may be required Block scheduling is not available Requirements Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS Minimum 2 years of cardiac/telemetry or PCU nursing experience required Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible At least 1 supervisor reference required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Pre-start orientation modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins Candidates who previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift worked RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract Navy scrubs are required Parking is complimentary for night shift staff in the facility ramp American Traveler Job ID P-689682.
