Apprentice Structured Cabling InstallerThe Apprentice Structured Cabling Installer works under the observation of the Lead Installer, building basic skills and gaining additional experience and responsibilities through hands-on training. Assists with project site installation and service of Category 6, Category 6A, fiber optic cabling and other low voltage system technology infrastructure.Responsibilities:Installing field devices (modular jacks, plates, terminal blocks, patch panels, racks, cable management, etc.)Troubleshooting systems and electronicsAssist in pulling low voltage cable and various wiringInstalling cable in new and retrofit commercial construction environmentsInstalling support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)Additional duties as assignedSkills/Qualifications:One year of electrical experience preferredBasic electrical and mechanical skillsFamiliar with electrical schematics and blueprintsComfortable with electrical testing equipmentAbility to take direction and follow all safety protocolsMust have reliable transportation as travel is required
