If you're vigilant, dependable, and ready to make a meaningful impact, we want to meet you.What You’ll DoMaintain a safe and secure environment across campusPrevent theft, vandalism, and disruptive incidentsRespond to emergencies and assist with de-escalationEnforce parking and traffic regulations with professionalismCommunicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitorsWhat You BringEducation:High school diploma or equivalentExperience:6+ months of prior security experience preferredLicensure & Certifications: Maryland State Police Security Guard Card preferredOR ability to apply within 90 days of hire and maintain certificationBLS (CPR) certification required per policyDe-escalation training required within 90 days of hire and ongoingDriving Requirements (for Meritus Vehicles):Valid driver’s licenseClean driving record (no moving violations in past 3 years preferred)Annual certified driving record submission requiredSigned acknowledgment of Meritus Vehicle Management policySkills That Set You ApartBasic knowledge of security/law enforcement practicesStrong verbal and written communicationAbility to remain calm, courteous, and effective in high-pressure situationsWhy Meritus?We’re more than a healthcare system—we’re a community.
