Controller
Key Responsibilities:*Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting and auditing.*Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.*Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.*Coordinate and lead financial audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external requirements.*Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to support company objectives and growth.*Manage cash flow, working capital and financial risk, including developing strategies to optimize liquidity and profitability.*Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance environment and providing professional development opportunities.*Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering and procurement to align financial goals with business strategies.*Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision making and strategic planning.*Monitor and enforce compliance with government contracts and regulations, particularly those related to defense and aerospace manufacturing.Implement and maintain robust accounting software systems (SAP experience is a plus), ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.*Present financials to the Board of Directors.Qualifications:*CPA (Certified Public Accountant) required*MBA (Master of Business Administration) preferred*A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance with a focus on defense/aerospace manufacturing or related industries.*Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within the aerospace and defense sectors.*Strong leadership and team management skills.*In-depth experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly preferred.*Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior leadership and other departments.*Experience with government contracting and compliance (FARS, DFARS, CAS, etc.) required.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
