Manager Software Engineering (QA/Automation)Leads a team of software engineers delivering enterprise integration solutions across cloud-based platforms. Provides technical leadership, drives large-scale initiatives, and ensures high-quality, scalable, and secure software delivery aligned to business priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and accountabilityDrive end-to-end delivery of complex integration and full-stack engineering initiativesManage configuration and integration of cloud-based applications across the enterpriseProvide technical leadership in architecture (microservices, APIs, scalable design) and system design decisionsOversee execution of projects, balancing scope, timeline, and qualityEnsure adherence to enterprise standards including secure coding, testing, and operational best practicesReview and approve technical designs, code, and configurationsPartner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutionsDrive quality through strong testing strategy, automation, code reviews, and performance validationImplement process improvements to enhance efficiency, automation, and reliabilityRequired SkillsStrong software design and architecture experience (microservices, APIs, scalable systems)Strong Core Java experienceDeep familiarity with test automation frameworks and modern automated testing practicesStrong understanding of test strategy and design, including defining coverage, test cases, and quality metricsStrong understanding of automation architecture, including framework design, scalability, and maintainabilityEnd-to-end understanding of the testing lifecycle, from planning and design through execution, defect management, and release validationExposure to AI concepts or tools, with the ability to understand and apply AI within a software testing or engineering contextDeep knowledge of software development, testing (unit/integration), and performance engineeringExperience with secure coding practices and code quality standardsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to design systems with operability, monitoring, and reliability in mindLeadership & ExperienceProven experience leading and mentoring software engineering teamsTrack record delivering large, complex technical solutions in agile environmentsStrong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skillsAbility to drive continuous improvement and engineering excellenceEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Mastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
