What You’ll DoThe Senior Personal Banker is responsible for delivering high quality customer service by assessing the customer’s needs. As a Senior Personal Banker in our branches, you will have the chance to put People First, show Absolute Integrity, all with a Zest for Excellence!Responsibilities IncludeOffer superior service to our customers through prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional interactions; refers customers to appropriate person or department as neededResponsible for accurately processing financial transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, and payments, etc.Support branch cash responsibilities such as shipment, balancing and reconciliation and is able to balance branch cash and teaches others how to balance branch cashResolve customer complaints and concerns; properly escalates concerns to supervisor and reports complaints as neededIn the absence of branch management, manage complex customer inquiries, independently and successfullyProcess debit card requests, complete stop payments and check holds for new and existing customersPerform other account services for customers such as wire transfers, assess or waive fees, close accounts, comply with customer’s overdraft option request and document information on our core systemUnderstand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to the Community Reinvestment Act, OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and First Northern Bank’s policies and proceduresPartner with branch leadership to maintain operational integrity while mitigating riskSupport opening/closing branch, completing audits, overrides and reviewing reports as neededBe a resource to train and help develop new and existing employees as neededOpen and service Retail, Business, trusts, CD and IRA accounts without assistance, process debit card requests for new and existing customersAnswer business account inquiries without assistanceAssist with approval within assigned limitsWork cross-functionally within the Bank to assess, handle, and follow through with complex account inquiries, transactions, or customer concernsMeet or exceed established sales goal/referralsAll other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDMinimum 2 years of prior experience in financial services requiredProficient in all Microsoft Office suite of productsEagerness to learn and a drive for continuous improvementExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to be professional and empathetic in all interactionsWilling and able to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirementsTechnically savvy with PCs and email systemsWhat You’ll Need To Be SuccessfulAccuracy and Thoroughness – strong attention to detailCommunication – excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsCustomer Service – manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needsInitiative – eagerness to learn and a drive for continuous improvementProfessionalism – ability to be professional and empathetic in all interactionsTeamwork – maintain a positive working relationship with your team membersAdaptability – willing and able to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirementsWhy You Should Apply Full-time position with excellent compensation and benefits packageGenerous time off programsBonus programProfit-sharingDiscounted stock purchase programExcellent growth and development opportunitiesAnd much more!Pay Range (Hourly): $21.00-$23.00/hourThe purpose of this job description is to provide a summary of duties related to the position.
