Job Description Service Technician & Mechanic - Crane & Heavy Duty TruckALL Carolina Crane & Equipment, LLCRaleigh, NC (27617)Position SummaryALL Carolina Crane & Equipment, LLC is seeking a Crane and Heavy Duty Truck Service Technician & Mechanic. Hands-on experience with cranes and lift equipment preferred but training may be provided for the right individual. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive Benefits package. This position is eligible for a Candidate Sign-On Bonus of $300 payable after 100 days of continuous, successful employment.Essential FunctionsResponsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all makes of cranes and heavy duty trucks.Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as neededReads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawingsPositive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customersPrepare proper documentation of actions takenAble to work with diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairsMaintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulationsOther duties as assignedSkills and Experience RequirementsStrong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervisionMust have a strong diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical backgroundMust have basic set of mechanic's hand toolsAbility to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidityPrevious experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is desiredExperience with Cummins INSITE or other diagnostic software is a plusAble to lift 50 lbsManufacturer's training will be an integral part of this position.
