Senior Accountant (North Houston)

Global Energy company in North Houston is adding an experienced Senior Accountant to their team! The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Technology department, providing financial insights and guidance and will support Technology operations with accurate forecasting and financial plannning. The responsibilities will include the following: Prepare and post journal vouchers for complex accounting transactions Review and monitor financial transactions for accuracy and timeliness Research and resolve complex accounting issues and transactions, including related internal controls Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial results, including variance explanations Demonstrate expertise in OPEX (Operating Expenses) and CAPEX (Capital Expenditures) management Perform activities involving complex accounting reports and analyses using spreadsheets and financial applications Participate in multi-functional teams and apply project management skills to support initiatives and process improvements Demonstrate knowledge in moderately complex aspects of general accounting, internal controls, company policy, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and financial applications Maintain intermediate proficiency with industry and company acumen Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years' experience, CPA or working toward CPA license is highly preferred.
