Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary: The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for independently performing sterile processing duties, requiring strong critical thinking and communication skills. The role may occasionally involve shift lead responsibilities. The technician will work in both the main OR and the Pavilion (OP Surgery Center), and must be available for variable shifts and on-call duties.Location:Apple Valley, California, United StatesResponsibilities:- Perform sterile processing duties independently.- Occasionally fill in as shift lead.- Work in both the main OR and the Pavilion (OP Surgery Center).- Operate Da Vinci Xi, Getinge Autoclave, Amsco Autoclave, Steris V-Pro, Steris System 1e, Getinge 86 series washer, and Triton 72 ultrasonic cleaner.- Float between the main OR and Pavilion (OP Surgery Center).Required Skills & Certifications:- BLS certification- CBSPD or HSPA certification- Minimum 5 years of sterile processing experience- Minimum 3 years of experience in a shift lead/precepting/team lead role in a hospital settingPreferred Skills & Certifications:- Not specifiedSpecial Considerations:- Variable availability required- On-call duties required- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered- Must include any RTO requests at the time of submissionScheduling:- Variable shifts: 0500-1330, 0630-1500, 0700-1530, 1000-1830, 1330-2200, 1900-0330, 2130-0600- On-call shifts: 2200-0700 (weekdays), 0700-1900 (weekends/holidays), 0700-0700 (weekends/holidays)- Weekends may exceed every other to accommodate unit needs
