The salary range of this position is $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. To learn more about the surrounding area, please visit: www.visitstmarysmd.comPosition BackgroundThe Analysis, Debrief, and Test (ADT) Branch supports the development, integration, and testing of the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Technical Baseline (JTB) product suite and related simulation products. The software products comprising the JTB support modeling and simulation (M&S) environments; trainer systems; test and evaluation (T&E); analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and their international partners. All products are government owned, developed and managed.A typical day as a Subject Matter Expert (Tactical Operations and Air/Weapons SME)-Senior may include:Develops EO, IR, Radar and/or IF sensor evaluation criteria, test methods and data analysis methods for simulations and test capabilitiesCovers a variety of fidelity spectrums from simplistic effects-based models to cutting-edge real-time physics simulation environmentsLeads/Executes verification, validation and/or accreditation efforts for radar, other electromagnetic sensor systems, EO/IR sensor systems, weapon models or simulationsAnalyzes performance data from simulated and live systems to facilitate comparisons between themInforms leadership on the implications of any performance issues identifiedMust-havesDiploma or equivalent12 years of relevant work experienceExperience working with EO/IR, radar, ESM and/or missile systemsThe ability to generate, review and execute detailed test plans for verification and validation of aircraft EO/IR, radar, ESM and/or missile systems after software integrationsExperience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in aircraft EO/IR, radar, ESM, missile system design, capabilities, phenomenology and processing methods/strategiesExperience supporting technical decisions with well-articulated assessments and dataExperience working with MS OfficeAMEWAS willing to obtain and process full clearance-The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security ClearanceDesired SkillsExperience working as a DoD Sensor Operator, Tactical Coordinator or a similar roleExperience supporting testingSkills Crucial To Success At AMEWASCandidates must demonstrate a customer-focused mindset, professionalism, and discretion, while working collaboratively with management and teams to meet objectives.
